LANGUAGE PROGRAM

Bilingualism has gone mainstream for today’s children. In today’s globalized culture, learning a second language is becoming an integral part of educational curriculum. First Impressions is proud to be one of the area forerunners incorporating Mandarin Chinese language teachers and activities in our program.

Research has shown that not only is learning a foreign language easier for children than it is for adults, but children who are exposed to other languages also have better success in school and on standardized tests. They are also better problem solvers and are more open to diversity. Neuroscientists have discovered that children excel at learning languages because the window of opportunity to imprint information and skills in the brain is widest during early childhood and nearly shut by the time they are 18.

The First Impressions' language curriculum is based upon these important findings and integrates a natural, fun and exciting approach to Chinese.
